De estilo románico cluniacense, su construcción se inició en 1.100 durante la repoblación de la ciudad. En su bellísimo atrio descubierto se llevaban a cabo las recepciones de los monarcas que visitaban la ciudad por primera vez; y aquí juraron respetar sus fueros los Reyes Católicos en junio de 1.475 y el emperador Carlos I en mayo de 1.534. La estatua de S. Pedro, corona el conjunto. La linterna del crucero es una obra de arte y los capiteles del interior, representan aves, sirenas y grifos. Posee un rico ornamento litúrgico.

Saint Peter's Church

From the Romanesque style, its construction was initiated in 1100, during the city's repopulation. In its beautiful open atrium, the royal receptions of the monarchs were carried, and it was here that the Catholic Kings vowed to respect the city's charters in June of 1475, and Emperor Charles I in May of 1534. The Statue of Saint Peter crowns the complex. The lantern of the cross section is by itself a masterpiece; as well as the interior chapels, representing geese, sirens and griffins. These posses a great liturgical ornaments.
