MONASTERIO DEL PARRAL

Es un edificio gótico plateresco fundado en 1447 por Enrique IV y el marqués de Villena. Fue saqueado en numerosas ocasiones, lo cual le desposeyó de ser un valioso museo de la historia castellana, en cambio, está ubicado en un maravilloso paraje.

Pertenece a la Orden de los Jerónimos, y su arquitecto fue Juan B. Guas. Se puede contemplar en su interior un hermoso retablo de Juan Rodríguez. Se aprecia en la fachada dos grandes blasones del Marqués de Villena. La iglesia es de una sola nave con un gigantesco retablo plateresco y en el centro se venera a la Virgen del Parral. Doce estatuas de los Apóstoles flanquean las ventanas de la iglesia

Aquí se halla el sepulcro de Doña Beatriz Pacheco, la tenaz enemiga de la reina Isabel la católica

It is a plateresc gothic building founded in the 1447 by Henry IV and the Marquis of Villena design by its architect Juan B. Gruas. Sacked in numerous occasions, which has strip it from becoming of the valuable museum of Castillian history, it has a marvelous view.

Pertaining to the Order of the Jeronimos, it is still possible to contemplate inside the beautiful planks by Juan Rodriguez. In its façades, two great coats of arms of the Marquis of Villena. The church is made up of only one nave with a gigantic plateresc board and at its center the Virgin of the Parral is venerated. Twelve statues portraying the Apostles border the windows of the church.

Here you will find the sepulcher of Doña Beatriz Pacheco, the determined nemesis of the Catholic Queen Isabel of Castille.
