TOLEDO PUERTA DE LA BISAGRA

Hoy día es la principal de la ciudad y la primera que encontramos cuando llegamos. Aunque es de estilo plateresco su origen es musulmán. Fue reconstruida en 1.550 por Felipe II.

Sobre su frente lucen enorme escudo imperial de la ciudad, en la cara que mira a la ciudad hay otro escudo, esta vez de Carlos I

Nowadays it is the main gate of the city, and the first one at our path when we arrive to the city. Even though it is of plateresc style, its origin is Muslim; reconstructed by Philip II in 1,550.

Over its façade, there is an enormous imperial shield of the city displayed; on the façade facing the city, there is the shield of Charles I.
